About Us

Chameleon Connection is a not-for-profit community interest company, developed out of an identified shortfall in the provision of services to young people and their families.  Initially, our services were provided to children via schools in Tyneside and Teesside. The ever increasing demand on public services, often mean long waiting times to those who are suffering and in need of support, not just children and young people in schools.

Now, we have expanded our provision into Northumberland. From our new dedicated base on the beautiful Allendale estate, we deliver a range of bespoke services across the age range, for children and adults. As well as providing a trauma informed approach within schools, we tender our provision to local authority adoption services.

We are delighted to announce our first sucessful bid for lottery funding was granted to provide additional mental health services to individuals living in the Consett area. Following Covid, the demand for mental health support has far exceeded levels available in this area.  We were pleased to be able to work together with another lottery funded initiative Citizen’s House community centre, by using their great facilites as a base for the young people to access support. We are now nearing the end of this project, but garnered by the great feedback we have received we hope to build on this success.
